Introduction to Charcoal Drawing

Come try something new and bring out your inner artist! Charcoal is great for beginners and is a super fun medium to play around with. In this class we will learn basic techniques and you will learn what tools to use to create realistic charcoal drawings. We’ll start with a quick demo, I’ll guide you through some quick exercises, and then we’ll tackle a small still-life drawing! You will leave this class with basic how-to drawing knowledge, as well as a basic charcoal drawing set you can take home with you to continue practicing! This class is geared towards beginners, but everyone is welcome! Especially if you’ve played around with pencil drawing, have an interest in furthering your skills, or have taken a break from drawing and want to get back into it.
