Each of these free “brown bag” concerts runs from 12:10-12:50 p.m., giving downtown business people, teachers, families, students, and friends an opportunity to enjoy classical music during their lunch hour.
March 21 - Live from Hochstein – Superb String Soloists from Eastman - Featuring Sooah Jung, violin; Noémie Raymond-Friset, cello; and Sungmin Lee, guitar. The program includes selections by Prokofiev, Kreisler, and Piazzolla.
March 28 - Live from Hochstein – Melodious Mallets - Featuring the RPO Marimba Band
April 11 - Live from Hochstein – Mikhail Kopelman, Stefan Reuss, and Rebecca Penneys - Featuring Mikhail Kopelman, violin; Stefan Reuss, cello; and Rebecca Penneys, piano
April 18 - Live from Hochstein – Hochstein Merit Scholarship Winners - Featuring Hochstein Merit Scholarship Winners: Michael Blum, piano, and Jacqueline Hager, cello
April 25 - Live from Hochstein – Publick Musick - The period-instrument ensemble Publick Musick performs one of Mozart's greatest masterpieces for chamber ensemble, the String Quintet in C major, K. 515.
May 2 - Live from Hochstein – Antara Winds - Antara Winds perform music of Mahler, Ewazen, and Ligeti.
May 9 - Live from Hochstein – Syncopated Sounds from 1920s Germany - Pianist Tony Caramia performs music of Perl, Schulhoff, Gruenberg, and Hindemith.
May 16 - Live from Hochstein – A Springtime Cello-bration - Featuring the Eastman Cello Ensemble performing lively classical music celebrating springtime.
