Celebrated author and botanist Robin Kimmerer shares “The Gift of Plants,” exploring the plants’ many teachings and lessons.

Kimmerer will engage attendees in an interactive presentation on “The Gifts of Plants” to explore the ways in which native plants offer us gifts of food, materials, medicine, and beauty. Kimmerer also shares her understanding of how plants are our oldest teachers, and encourages people to consider how humans can act in reciprocity by giving our gifts to care for plants.

The presentation will be followed by a book signing and light Iroquois White Corn lunch. Finger Lakes Forest Therapy leads a Ganondagan trail outing, closing the day with a full sensory nature experience to create a deeper connection with the Earth.

Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer is a mother, scientist, writer, distinguished teaching professor, member of the Citizen Band Potawatomi, and author of Gathering Moss and Braiding Sweetgrass.
