“Walk in Tubman’s Footsteps” Walking Tours

Throughout the months of July and August, Harriet Tubman National Historical Park rangers will be conducting “Walk in Tubman’s Footsteps” tours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Come hear about Tubman’s 50 years in freedom in Auburn and the people she knew as friends and compatriots in the struggle for abolition, women’s suffrage, and equal rights. Stops include South Street Area Historic District, Seward Park, Fort Hill Cemetery, Thompson Memorial AME Zion Church on Parker Street, and more.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately.

Meet your ranger at the Harriet Tubman statue in the courtyard of the Equal Rights Heritage Center, 25 South Street, Auburn.

These tours are free, run 90 minutes, and cover two miles. Some walking surfaces are uneven and elevated. Comfortable walking shoes and water are recommended.
