Bird Carving Class: Carving a Baltimore Oriole
October 23 & 24 (this is a two-day workshop)
9:00am-4:00pm
$100 per person
Discover the joy of bird carving! In this two-day workshop, participants will study bird anatomy and carving techniques while learning how to carve and paint a lifesize Baltimore Oriole, taught by award-winning carver Robin Salsbury. Appropriate to beginner and experienced woodcarvers alike, students will be guided by the instructor through the process from start to finish. The Oriole is native to the northeast U.S. and is easily recognized by its distinctive colors. Orioles are often found flitting through the treetops looking for insects or in the bushes feeding on berries. Materials and tools will be provided.
