Bird-of-Prey Eyeglass Holder Carving Class - SOLD OUT!

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 02/27/2021
Lost glasses will be a thing of the past! Join instructor Chris Kieber for an introductory woodcarving class and carve your own bird-of-prey eyeglass holder. No previous experience is required. The project is suitable for both beginner and intermediate carvers.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately.

A wood blank and pattern will be provided. Participants should bring a lunch and their own Kevlar cut resistant glove to use on their non-dominant hand. The instructor recommends either a Kevlar glove with rubber gripping dots or a Kevlar glove reinforced with steel threads. Participants should also bring along their own bench knife. Bench knives and Kevlar gloves can be found at local wood carving supply stores or on-line. The instructor recommends the Flexcut brand of knives if you are purchasing one for the first time. Masks are required, since there will be times when participants are closer than 6ft. for demonstration and assistance by the instructor. Ages 16 to adult.
