Proceeds from this event, provide one-third of the Fairport Perinton Partnership for a Better Community’s (FPPBC) annual operating budget. With an exhaustive condition report completed in 2017, we continue our effort to secure funding for the remediation, restoration, and renovation of the historic First Baptist Church of Fairport. The volunteer architects, engineers and planners of our Design committee have developed preliminary design plans for new performance and event spaces. This renovation will result in year-round use of the church as a destination for events, the performing arts, and education in our community.
FPPBC continues our support of Learning Links, Erie Canalway’s Adopt-a-Trail program, tourism and destination marketing, festivals and events, and so much more. The local organizations who volunteer (such as Fairport Mason’s, Fairport Rotary, etc.) at Oktoberfest each receive a share of the proceeds of the event, which further supports our Fairport community.
