Tap into the sights, sounds, and tastes of the maple season! Our Maple Festival is an outdoor adventure with several unique areas of the Museum to explore! In each, you may find maple history, live music, vendors, food, bonfires, hands-on activities, storytelling…its outdoor fun for the whole family! Join us for a delightful experience at our Nature Center and Historic Village, where you can explore the maple sugaring process, enjoy seasonal storytelling, participate in hands-on activities like tree-tapping and candle making, savor delicious maple-themed foods, and shop from a variety of local vendors while listening to live music under the festival tent.

Nature Center Activities

Our Nature Center is maple-central where the work of producing syrup from our sugarbush happens.

For those unable to make it out to the sugar camp, we will have a video experience in the Nature Center Lobby that showcases what our historical educators are up to out on the trails!

Our festival this year offers several places to get the tastes of the sweet season!

Fresh off the griddle pancakes and sausages topped with Museum-made maple syrup, served from the carport across from the restaurant and pub

In the Historic Village, Hosmer’s Inn will be hosting a taproom to warm up and fuel up
Depot Restaurant will be serving up savory maple-themed bites!
Stop in at the Freight House Pub for a craft beer, wine, or hard cider – bottled water and soda are available, too!
The Confectionery will be open and filled with sweet confections for sale
Set your alarm now so you don’t miss our popular Whistlestop Bread Sale daily 1 – 3 p.m.

Where maple, music, and handmade treasures meet!

Enjoy the haunting melodies of the Archive Ravens, an acoustic duo serenading you with music from the past with modern twists.
