Got Health: Fad Diets, Food Myths & How Fiber Saves the Day!

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 03/19/2020
Join us for our next Got Health talk as we celebrate National Nutrition Month!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Jill Chodak, a clinical dietitian at the Center for Community Health & Prevention, will help us find our food foundation and quiet the daily nutrition noise. Learn more about notable fad diets, such as the ketogenic and paleo diets, as well as the myths underlying them, and discover the many benefits of dietary fiber.

No registration is needed for this FREE health talk. Light snacks will be provided, but everyone is welcome to bring their own lunch. All attendees will be able to receive a voucher to the Foodlink Curbside Market! There will also be a free raffle drawing, with prizes provided by our partners at the Center for Community Health & Prevention.

Can’t attend? Join us on the Central Library’s Facebook page for a live broadcast!
