Legacy Wine Bar, located at 51 State Street in downtown Rochester, hosts a powerful celebration in honor of Juneteenth and its first anniversary as a minority-owned wine bar and entertainment venue. Held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, the event features a live performance by the highly-esteemed musical group, Vibrant Strings, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m with music by DJSIGHT.
This dual celebration honors a pivotal moment in U.S. history while marking an important milestone for Rochester’s local business community. Legacy Wine Bar is the vision of Ebony Smart who has created a vibrant gathering space blending fine wine, live music, and cultural connection—all in the heart of downtown.
“Juneteenth is about freedom, resilience, and progress,” proclaimed Smart, founder of Legacy Wine Bar. “It's a deeply meaningful day for the community to recognize how far we’ve come, and experience the connectivity from inclusive spaces created for joy, artistry, and excellence.”
Vibrant Strings, known for their innovative fusion of classical strings and modern rhythms, will headline the evening. The Buffalo-based trio of siblings brings a soulful vibe to the celebration. Community leaders and guests are invited to enjoy premium wine selections and appetizers, a lively and art-filled atmosphere, and an opportunity to support and uplift a local minority-owned business.
