Live from Hochstein – Syrinx: XXII

Featuring António Carrilho, recorders; Katharine Rawdon, flutes; Raj Bhimani, piano. Syrinx: XXII performs on piano and a vast array of flutes and recorders, taking a new approach to music-making and programming looking forward to the 22nd Century. This concert includes Mozart’s Trio in E-flat Major—which Mozart wrote so he could play it with two of his closest friends—as well as works by Christoph Willibald Gluck and Sören Sieg.

The Hochstein School’s free lunchtime “brown bag” Live from Hochstein concert series takes place in the Hochstein Performance Hall and is broadcast live on WXXI Classical 91.5/ 90.3 FM, hosted by WXXI Classical 91.5’s Mona Seghatoleslami.
Sidney and Barbara Sobel have provided continuous underwriting of the Live from Hochstein Broadcast & Concert Series since 1993.
Live from Hochstein is also made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
