The Penthouse is excited to introduce Wine Down Wednesday! Each ticket holder will receive their very own Bites Box of choice provided by The Hideaway, along with special guests Trio East!
Trio East
Clay Jenkins-trumpet, Jeff Campbell-bass, Rich Thompson-drums
Trio East is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this fall 2020! They have five CD’s, as well as numerous concerts and clinics from New York City to Los Angeles. This trio, consisting of Clay Jenkins, Jeff Campbell, and Rich Thompson, formed in the fall 2000 when Clay Jenkins was added to the Jazz faculty at the Eastman School of Music. Their collective recording/performing credits are too numerous to mention. The great drummer, Peter Erskine, said of this trio; “Trio East makes up one of the more open and interesting trios I have ever heard. They pay homage to our jazz heroes by way of their vast vocabulary and easily discernible passion for musicality and swing. The clarity of their ideas is a complete pleasure to hear, and the confluence of their collective influences results in a truly wonderful horn trio!”
