Perinton Concert Band to perform with Eastman Associate Professor Chien-Kwan Lin, Saxophonist The Perinton Concert Band will perform Dance Moods featuring saxophonist Chien-Kwan Lin, Associate Professor, Eastman School of Music, on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 7:30 PM in Minerva DeLand School Auditorium, 140 Hulburt Rd., Fairport. Chien-Kwan Lin has appeared as soloist and guest artist with the United States Navy Band, Eastman Wind Ensemble, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Tanglewood Festival Orchestra, New World Symphony, Beijing Symphony, Singapore Symphony, as well as the philharmonic and chamber orchestras of Boston, Rochester, Sichuan and Thailand. Chien-Kwan will be performing Rhapsody for Alto Saxophone by Waignein with the band. Other musical selections in the concert include: Two Slavonic Dances by Dvorak, America by Bernstein, A Little Tango Music a medley arranged by Gorb, Breathing (a selection in memory of Lisa Brumberger) by Sturm, Suite of Old American Dances by Bennett, Mambo Greats by Bulla, and Folk Dances by Shostakovich. Tickets, available at the door, are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and children/students, 18 and under are free.
