In Rochester City Ballet's final performance of the season, we present the charming folktale The Firebird, paired with the enchanting Carnival of the Animals. A wonderful family-friendly evening of dance for everyone!

The Firebird wields mystical enchantments to defeat the evil sorcerer Kastchei and save Prince Igor and the Princesses. Robert Gardner brings this Russian folktale to life through Igor Stravinsky’s monumental score. The Firebird is ballet’s superhero!

Carnival of the Animals pairs magical costumes, poetry by Ogden Nash, and the venerable Saint-Saens score for a delightfully entertaining piece of art!
