SBJSA now offers three season programming making our programs, facilities and watercraft more available to our community. SBJSA currently has over 70 watercraft and one of the finest sailing centers in the area. We invite you to visit via our website, Facebook or in person to learn what opportunities might appeal to your family.

WHY SHOULD KIDS SAIL?

Sailing is a lifelong sport. If you develop a love for the sport at a young age, it can be a great hobby or occupation for your whole life. What better way for your kids to spend their summer than by challenging themself physically and mentally on the water with friends and in the elements? Summer is no fun without wind, waves, and sun."  The core instructional program we offer at SBJSA is our youth sailing camp, which is conducted over a 7-week timeframe starting at the end of June to mid-August. Our seven-week summer camp period is available to youth, ages 8-18; we offer Learn to Sail, Performance Sail and Adventure Sailing on a weekly schedule. We also provide general sailing instruction for children from ages 8-18, including travel racing teams and a local Rochester College sailing team for their spring and fall practice seasons.
