Many world leaders are forgotten by subsequent generations, but Susan B. Anthony persists as the center of attention. As the nation celebrates the centennial of the 19th Amendment, we will be celebrating Susan B. Anthony’s 200th Birthday, in Rochester, NY, which was her home base during her 40 most politically active years.
The keynote speaker for the 2020 Susan B. Anthony Birthday Dinner is Tena Clark, author of Southern Discomfort, and a Grammy award-winning producer. Clark is also the CEO/Chief Creative Officer for DMI Music & Media Solutions, and her work spans film, television, stage, records, and brands. Join us to discover more about this multi-faceted, multi-talented woman.
Our big party will take place February 12, 2020 at the Joseph A. Floreano Riverside Convention Center, 123 E. Main Street, Rochester, NY. Celebrating Susan B. Anthony’s birthday is a tradition that began in her lifetime and continues to this day to honor contemporary women who continue her legacy, and to raise awareness of the educational and inspirational programs offered by the Anthony Museum.
From May through November 2020, a significant art installation re-imagining Susan B. Anthony for the next century will be on display in the heart of Rochester’s cultural district. This installation is co-sponsored by the Anthony Museum and Rochester Contemporary Art Center. The RFP is open until 5pm (EST) January 31, 2020, click here for more information.
