Did you know that heating and cooling account for 75% of the energy used by homes in upstate NY? In some cases, up to 30% of this energy is wasted in unnecessary heat loss due to poor insulation. Energy efficiency measures and heat pumps can keep your home warm and cozy all winter long without crippling fuel bills. Moreover, you can reduce your home’s carbon footprint by combining heat pump technology with upstate NY’s relatively carbon-free electrical grid.
Beyond lowering your energy bills and reducing your carbon footprint, energy efficiency measures and heat pumps can improve your home’s overall comfort and indoor air quality. To learn more about clean heating and cooling technologies, and the various state, utility, and federal incentives, come to the Sustainable Homes Rochester presentation on January 25th, 2020 from 11:30a-1p at your neighborhood N Winton Library. No need to register, just stop on by and bring all your friends!
