Celebrate penguins by visiting Seneca Park Zoo for World Penguin Day on Saturday, April 27. Discover how AZA-accredited facilities like your Zoo are working to restore the African penguin population through programs like SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction. Learn about the threats African penguins face in their natural range, such as oil spills and over-fishing, and find out how you can help protect them by practicing responsible consumerism and supporting the Zoo’s longtime conservation partner, SANCCOB, a nonprofit organization working to save seabirds. For a donation to penguin conservation, enter drawings to win a custom painting made by one of the Zoo’s African penguins or to choose the colors for a painting that will be specially made for you!
