The four met in the Circle Singing community of vocal improvisers started by Bobby McFerrin and members of his Voicestra. Assuming roles normally played by instruments, from vocal percussion to bass or horn lines to soloing, they create music that is by turns soulful, whimsical, lyrical, playful, and funny. From moment to moment, you never know what will happen, and neither do they!

The JCC CenterStage presents An American in Paris, with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, book by Craig Lucas, directed by Ralph Meranto, with musical direction by Andrew Cooke, and choreography by Jamey Leverett in the Hart Theater at the JCC from May 3 through May 18, 2025. This romantic tale of a young American soldier and a beautiful French girl, set against the backdrop of the City of Light, features some of George and Ira Gershwin’s most beloved songs including “I Got Rhythm,” “The Man I Love,” “S’Wonderful,” and “They Can’t Take That Away from Me.” An American in Paris is a feast for the eyes and the ears and includes breathtaking dance sequences from the Draper Center Dance Ensemble.
