A premier overnight camp in the Poconos, ILC is dedicated to being a diverse community with powerful individualized programing, top notch facilities & dedicated and talented staff. Choose from 2 - 8 week sessions with an impressive array of activities including, Circus, Trapeze, Sports, Fitness, Archery, Art, Theatre, Dance, Magic, Music, Recording studio, Skatepark, Digital Arts, Moviemaking, RPG, Climbing Wall, Wakeboarding, Lake, Pool, Horseback, Nature & much more.

In the mornings, we’ll make our way through the alphabet and write about our individual topics for each letter, while learning the building blocks of poetry: metaphor, rhyme, simile, and more. In the afternoons, we’ll create illustrations to bring our writing to life, learning about the importance of line, color, and shape in creating compositions.

In this camp, you’ll step inside buildings and go behind the scenes at some of NOTA’s well-known—and not-so-well-known—creative spaces. We’ll keep journals to track our adventures and gather interviews that reveal what makes this neighborhood so vibrant. And for returning explorers: new locations await!

In this camp we’ll talk about what makes screenplays work and learn basic techniques by focusing on structure, story, characters, dialogue, and format. We’ll watch scenes from different movie genres and break down the scripts to see how the writer made it all happen.

Through acting games, writing exercises, and theater, we’ll learn the basics of playwriting, including character, conflict, and what makes writing for the stage extra special in an era when we’re surrounded by screens. We’ll write our own plays to share with families and friends in a staged reading on Friday.
