Junior Program
Ages: Entering First Grade (2015) through Grade 8
You may participate in any combination of programs.
Dates:
Week 1: June 29 – July 2
Week 2: July 6-7, July 8 – Final Workshop Showcase (9:30-11:30). If participating in Aladdin, 1-4.
July 9 - Aladdin Tech Rehearsal (tentative, 10-4)
Program Descriptions and Times:
9:30 - 10:30am: Integrated Crafts: The Magic of Aladdin: (Code: ICCJP1): Explore your imagination and enter the world of Aladdin to create magical, artistic crafts using various mediums. The culmination of work will be displayed during the Aladdin performances!
10:30 - 11:30am: Characterization, Improv, Interactive Games: (Code: CIIJP2): Learn various improvisation techniques, games, creative characterization and more.
11:30 - 12:30pm: Music, Dance and More: (Code: MDMJP3)
Learn foundational and enhanced elements of dance and vocal development.
12:30 – 1:00pm: Bagged Lunch Required
1:00 – 4:00pm: Musical Theatre: Aladdin, Jr.: (Code: AMT)
Auditions: June 13, 10-12
Performs: July 10 @ 7p and July 11 @ 2
9:30a – 4:00p : Full Day Program: (Code: JPALL)
Participate in all programs and Musical Theatre production.

Ages: Middle School – Young Adult

Master Classes and Workshops: July 20 – 28: 9:30-12:30pm (bagged lunch required if attending full day)
Workshop Descriptions, Dates and Times:
Workshop 1: Dance and Voice for Musical Theatre: (Code: DVSP1): July 20-21, 9:30-12:30pm:
Learn the various styles of dance and critical voice training needed to succeed in musical theatre. Students will learn to communicate using a variety of expressions and dance movements to enhance stage presence. Participants will expand their dance vocabulary and hone audition techniques, while building skills through instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop and more. Vocal training will include various exercises and techniques for vocal development.
Workshop 2: Survey of Technical Theatre Workshop: (Code: STTSP2): July 22-23, 9:30-12:30pm
Learn the design elements and skills necessary for technical theatre production. Participants learn basic techniques, methods, concepts and practices of production and design.
Workshop 3: Characterization, Improvisation, Monologue Development, and Audition Preparation: (Code: CIMASP3):
July 27-28, 9:30-12:30pm
Students will learn a variety of theater and improvisation games as well as Improv exercises and games. This unique style creates an environment to explore creativity; develop interpersonal skills; increase self-confidence; and practice teamwork! Students will learn skills necessary to deliver an effective monologue. Students will also learn how to prepare, build and execute a professional theatrical audition.

Performs: August 7 @ 7p and August 8 @ 2p and 7p
