Community Arts Academy

The Community Arts Academy provides a safe, positive, after-school environment enriched with arts-based activities and fun! Our summer camp "Sail the Seven Seas" enhances the quality of life in our community through a diverse and inclusive cultural experience for school-age students. The Community Arts Academy is collaborates with several arts groups in our community and a resource professional provides a different art activity each day--dance with PUSH Physical Theater, singing with Amadeus Chorale, Tae Kwon Do with Gold School Unified and drama with Drama Kids International. Located in the heart of the ArtWalk District and directly across from the Rochester Museum and Science Center, the CAA takes full advantage of our location and often visits the Planetarium, the Eastman House, the Memorial Art Gallery and the Strong National Museum of Play. With five thousand square feet of space in the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, it has generous classrooms, a computer lab, a fully-equipped stage and an outdoor play area. The CAA affords a nurturing secure environment in which children can grow in knowledge, understanding and character.
