Frederick Douglass Community Library
Location: At 971 South Avenue, the Frederick Douglass Community Library is located in the south sector (6) of Rochester. The branch is located next to School 12, across from Highland Hospital.
Branch Profile: Set in the South Wedge and adjacent to Highland Park, the Douglass Branch is close to many institutions as well as single family residences. The library has a collection of 26,000 items, which includes books, magazines, videos and DVDs. The emphasis is on current topics and titles. The library is committed to the enrichment of our community and patrons by offering access to the MCLS computer system, databases and the Internet.

Programs:
The Douglass Branch offers afterschool homework help and activities plus a variety of other programs for teens and adults.
Neighborhood families will enjoy story hours for young children. During the warmer months, story time moves to Highland Park -- bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the trees and flowers all around!
