Our African Roots

We are a retail store in Pittsford village as well as online featuring unique products from across Africa. Visit us for home decor, kids items, jewelry and gifts for anyone and any age. We also feature a section for Rochester home businesses and support a local charity helping kids in the area. Our history comes from generations of South African activists which continues to flow in the spirit of our children. We never want them to forget their roots especially as they were born on the soil of Africa and our African roots are a large part of what made us who we are today. Our store is full of products, sourced from artisans, many of whom due to COVID can no longer sell in their local markets. In areas where we cannot directly connect with the artisans we have partnered with fair trade suppliers. In purchasing from us you are helping the mom, the grandmother and the people who are trying to make a living using their talents. While staying connected to Africa we are also part of a vibrant community in New York and supporting small home businesses is important to us. A section of our store features these businesses, many whom are women making products in their homes. To support those in need we have partnered with a local charity that provides birthday packs for at-risk kids.
