Be The Director! (5th - 12th)
Have you ever wanted to turn the tables and sit in the director’s chair? Here is your chance! While working on the short play, “The Jabberwocky,” a funny and modern retelling of the Lewis Carol poem, you will get the opportunity to direct and/or act. As a scene actor, you will learn valuable acting skills such as characterization, projection, and facial expression. As a budding director, you will delve into the process of casting, blocking, working with actors on characterization, and understand the importance of overall vision. Reading and analyzing the original poem will help enhance characterization and give directors another opportunity to really understand the story. Show family and friends what you’ve learned in a final performance.
Grades 5 - 12.
Classes held Wednesdays, 11:15AM - 12:30PM, April 6 - May 25
Fee for 8 Class Session - $125.
