Saturday, November 1, 6:45pm: Stars with Carl is a monthly show at RMSC's Strasenburgh Planetarium devoted to the 1968 Carl Zeiss Mark VI star projector. A live presenter conducts a tour of the night sky using the original planetarium projector. Best for ages 5 and older; 50 minutes. Randi will share highlights of her in-depth research and what it reveals about the people who perish in the parks. She will offer insights about why people are driven to challenge themselves in the wilderness no matter the odds against their safe return and provides helpful tips on how to avoid your own disaster in a national park.
