17th Annual Rochester Early Music Festival

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 11/19/2017
The Rochester Early Music Festival, a longstanding highlight of the Rochester music scene, presents our 17 th annual offering of vocal and instrumental music. Spanning two four-day weekends, the festival shines a light on the many outstanding musicians in the Greater Rochester area who are committed to performing music of the Middle Ages through the Baroque musical period (1400-1750). This year, we are proud to highlight performances at the Memorial Art Gallery, Christ Church, and the Eastman School of Music along with many other recitals and concerts throughout the community.

Including chamber groups, intimate duos, and vocal music, the 17 th Annual REMF will provide an opportunity for musicians and performers to immerse themselves in the breadth and diversity of this often-neglected repertoire. A highlight of the festival, the Gala Concert on Friday, November 18 at 7:30pm brings together many of the musicians participating in the festival for a night of wildly varied musical offerings.
