This class leaves off where Introduction to American Sign Language ended. We will discuss Deaf culture, understanding your sign space, Classifiers, games and more in this class. You’ll leave with a broader understanding of the Deaf community, a stronger grammatical foundation to build off of with new vocabulary and how to begin thinking in a 3-dimensional language.

Please note: It is recommended that you have some background in ASL. For Sarah's Introduction to ASL class, click here.

About the teacher:
Sarah Cincotta has been fluent in ASL ever since her early twenties. Since then she has finished up her degree at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf and has been working in the community for many years as an American Sign Language interpreter. It is Sarah's goal for every hearing person in Rochester to know American Sign Language and know where to go to continue if they please.
