THE SECRET GARDEN
Spotlight Studios for the Performing Arts announces the auditions for the Spring Production of "The Secret Garden"
Spotlight Studios proudly presents the play, "The Secret Garden" by Sulvia Ashby, based on the story by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This production will take place at First Baptist Church of Fairport. This is the fourth production Spotlight is producing at the church.
This production is open to all performers ages 10-18 from the area!
Auditions will be held at The First Baptist Church of Fairport
Monday April 18, 6-8:30pm OR
Tuesday April 19, 6-8:30pm
For ages 10-18. You should only attend ONE audition date.
PERFORMANCES: June 10, 11, 12 at the First Baptist Church of Fairport
CAST: Calling Actors and Actresses ages 10-18.
BRING:
Completed Audition Form and Conflicts Sheet (download from SpotlightArts.com)
+Audition Form - print and fill it out to save time at auditions.
+Audition Information - details about rehearsals, performances, and character listing.
+Audition Scenes - scenes to be used during the acting audition.
+A headshot or school picture, which will not be returned
+A resume, if available
PREPARE: Choose a scene to prepare and be ready to read lines at the audition. Scene packets can be downloaded from SpotlightArts.com
REHEARSALS: See the audition form for a list of all potential rehearsal dates. Performers will NOT be called for all rehearsals. Performers must attend all mandatory rehearsals.
There is NO cost for this production. Those interested must audition to be in this production. Please note there are a limited number of parts available (10) and no ensemble roles. We are considering double casting, but there is a chance you may not make it into the production.

DESCRIPTION: The story is as familiar as you remember. Mary Lennox, a sullen and spoiled young orphan, is sent to live with her brooding uncle at gloomy Misselthwaite Manor. Discovering a hidden, neglected garden, Mary plants the seeds of new life for all those drawn into her secret refuge. A wonderful story of transformation.
