Blackout Poetry Workshop

We'll be exploring the technique of Blackout Poetry, using markers to block out large blocks of text on pages from magazines and books, leaving a few words to create a unique poem or piece of writing.

We're wrapping up National Poetry Month! Join author, performer, and artist Joanne Brokaw for a free Blackout Poetry Workshop Saturday, April 27th, at the East Rochester Library. We'll be exploring the technique of Blackout Poetry, using markers to block out large blocks of text on pages from magazines and books, leaving a few words to create a unique poem or piece of writing. You'll be amazed at what is illuminated in the darkness. No writing or poetry experience necessary. Honest! This workshop is suitable for tweens to adults.
