Come learn the basics of hand lettering with brush-style pens! This class will teach letter shapes, basic techniques, and some color blending/shading techniques to make beautiful works of art you can keep or give as gifts. Students go home with practice sheets, a few styles of brush pens to keep practicing with, and the building blocks to find their own style!
About the teacher:
Anna Vos is a modern calligrapher who has always loved the aesthetics of words. She is mostly self-taught and has completed Liss Smith’s freestyle calligraphy course. Anna lives in the Highland Park neighborhood with her husband Elliot and their two children, Ruby and Rory. She enjoys pretty words, making music, feeding people, and nerdy literature and television. You can find her shop, OwlPostLettering, on Etsy for custom lettered pieces and other nerdy artwork at OwlPostLettering.etsy.com. She also teaches “Making Homemade Pierogi” at the Rochester Brainery.
