Ganondagan is thrilled to welcome “Reservation Dogs” actor Gary Farmer, who plays Uncle Brownie on the comedy/drama TV series, to the Seneca Art & Culture Center at Ganondagan on Tuesday, January 23 from 6:30 - 8PM.

Gary Farmer (Cayuga), actor, musician, director & advocate will be speaking at the Seneca Art & Culture Center on January 23, 6:30 - 8 PM
You may know Gary as Uncle Brownie from "Reservation Dogs", or from his many movies and tv appearances including the films "Smoke Signals", "Powwow Highway" and "Nobody". Gary is widely recognized as a pioneer in the development of Indigenous media.
A high-profile Indigenous role model, Farmer will share his journey as an actor, director, musician, artist, and advocate. Farmer is a motivational speaker and comedian, he has appeared in over 100 television and film appearances including the films, "Smoke Signals", "Powwow Highway", and "Dead Man", to name a few. A talented musician, Farmer performs with the band Gary Farmer & the Troublemakers which headlined Ganondagan's 2018 Indigenous Music & Arts Festival. An advocate for advancing Indigenous media representation, Farmer was one of the founders of Aboriginal Voices Radio Network and publisher of Aboriginal Voices, a magazine focused on Indigenous artists in Canada.
