Goals are a huge part of our lives, as seen in the overwhelming amount of resolutions made every New Year. However, many only make it a month or so - sometimes even less - before giving up on those goals. Why is that? In the well-known book The Desire Map, Danielle LaPorte theorizes that we set goals the wrong way. We are not chasing the goal itself, but rather, a feeling that we believe the goal will give us. So if our goal is to lose weight, we may want to achieve that because we think it will make us happy or confident. In this workshop, we'll talk in depth about this theory, and a worksheet on goal setting will be provided. You'll walk out with new ideas on how to set and actually achieve any goal you may set for yourself - no matter how crazy it seems right now!

About the teacher:
Liz Coffey is the founder a Shuffle Beat Music, a freelance writer, an aspiring author, and an artist manager, all in addition to a full time job. With a ton of projects going on at any given time, she has become a master of time management and realistic goal-setting, both for herself and the teams that she works with on a regular basis. It has become a fun hobby for her to find new ways to get things done, and she's always on the lookout for new tips and tricks. This has been the key in much of her success in handling numerous positions across three industries over the last three years.
