Comedy Improvisation: Spotlight on Two-person scenes

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 02/18/2019
A number of factors can make an improv scene great: saying “yes, and,” exploring emotions, and listening and reacting to your scene partner honestly. In this class, you’ll explore those techniques in one of improv’s purest forms – the two-person scene. A player’s job in a scene is to make his or her partner look good, and the most interesting scenes are often about the relationship between the pair.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

ou’ll do warm-up exercises, play theatre games, and perform two-person scenes that explore the connections that exist between characters, building your trust in your teammate and your own confidence along the way. Bring your improv partner or a friend; meet a new teammate; or in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, bring your date, to this duo-themed workshop. Not only is improv fun, but it is also a tool for life: it can make you a better listener, public speaker, and creative thinker. This class is open to all levels of experience.
