Rochester’s small venue biennial, Current Seen supports the region’s growing contemporary art community by bringing new curatorial voices and new artworks together in Downtown Rochester, NY. Core Venues and Framework Venues present curated exhibitions and public art by regional and national artists. Projects all relate to the general theme our current moment / our changing city and are located near East Ave. and Main St. This geographic focus addresses the corridor as both a dividing line and a connective thread, moving audiences along these historic streets.
Nearly all venues will be open Thursday – Saturday, October 4 – November 17, 2019. Exhibitions are free or nearly free. Public Art projects are available 24/7. Visit currentseen.org for a site map, venues, curators, and hours.
