RCTV, the George Eastman Museum, KidsOutAndAbout and Writers & Books are partnering to bring author James Kennedy to Rochester to host a Rochester screening of the Fifth Annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festival!To submit to this festival, kids and teens have chosen a Newbery Honor or Award book and turned it into a 90-Second video, often with hysterical results!
In Rochester, Founder James Kennedy will be co-hosting this screening with local author Linda Sue Park who won a Newbery Award for her book, A Single Shard.
This FREE event, featuring works by local kids and teens, as well as some of the best works submitted nationally, will take place at the Dryden Theatre as part of the Dryden Kids Series. The theatre is located in the George Eastman Museum, located at 900 East Avenue. The event will take place on Sunday, April 3 from 2 to 4 PM. As an additional treat, the George Eastman Museum will choose one of Charlie Chaplin's short comedies from its vault, which will be shown with live musical accompaniement.
