The joyful, radiant music of the young Giacomo Puccini centers an afternoon of glorious music in the Finger Lakes Choral Festival's 16th season.

Giacomo Puccini's MESSA DI GLORIA, wonderful, gracious, charming and lush music for choir and full orchestra, is perfectly combined with Mendelssohn's First Piano Concerto, Ines Draskovich, soloist, and Nigra Sum, a sublime anthem for women's voices by Pablo Casals, on this most uplifting program. Wagner's "Prelude to Die Meistersinger" showcases our good friends from the Penfield Symphony Orchestra. The concert is free of charge. Donations of canned and packaged food items accepted at the door benefit DWIGHT, Doing What Is Good and Healthy Together, a food insecurity initiative of Monroe Community College. 3:00 P.M., Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 Plymouth Avenue North, Rochester.
