FuturPointe Dance's work is characterized by a sensory, multi-genre repertoire born of a sophisticated fusion of traditional and modern Caribbean dance forms, ballet and Latin vocabulary.

The darkness descends quickly as Uhura drinks the last of the potent elixir and moves cautiously through the rolling mist, sensing she is not alone. A distant flash reveals "One Love", a sistah shaman, stepping out of the inky night luring Uhura to her Initiation beyond the mystical Elephant Grass. "One Heart", the elder shaman, summons the ancestors and petitions them for Uhura's safe passage through the mix of reality and illusion to come. Beyond the grass, our She-ro's mischievous mind manifests as the twin unicorns "Eye & I", lead Uhura unwittingly through tests of courage and forgiveness and to encounters with the Fire Gorgon and Water Maddah (mother) bringing both upheaval and renewal.
