The Genesee Valley Kennel Club’s 92nd & 93rd All-Breed Dog Shows

Come see 584 dogs vying for the coveted “Best In Show” at the Genesee Valley Kennel Club’s 92nd & 93rd All-Breed Dog Shows, Obedience Trials and Rally Trials on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is the longest running and oldest sporting event in the Monroe County area. The annual show will be held at the Dome Arena Expo Center and is open and free to the public, exhibitors and all entered dogs.
Saturday’s Best in Show to be presented by Judge JoAnne Bueller, Washington DC, and Mary Therese Friel, Rochester’s own Miss USA, 1979.
Also on Saturday, The GVKC is partnering with Mary Therese Friel Modeling Agency to support Meals on Wheels for Pets, an affiliate of Meals on Wheels, a program for UR Medicine Home Care. Visitors are asked to please bring a pet toy or food item to donate at the Meals on Wheels for Pets booth at the entrance to the Dome. This organization assists families to keep their beloved pets with them in their home. Models and beauty pageant winners from the Mary Therese Friel Modeling Agency will be manning the booth; come and visit with them.
Sunday’s Best in Show will be presented by Judge June Penta, Greensburg Pa., accompanied by Monroe County Legislator Tony Micciche, who is a dog lover in his own right.
There will also be basket raffles, pet supply vendors and others as well as food from the Empire Food Truck. Best of All, come see your favorite breed of dog and on Sunday see the Baby Puppy Classes to be shown during lunch hour. Judging starts at 8:30 a.m. on both days with Best In Show award expected to be given around 4:30 p.m.
