Halloween Spooktacular Party & Concert

On Friday, October 23, Boulder Coffee Co. will be filled with a frightening array of songs from some of Rochester’s most noted local musicians. The performers are teachers at the Rochester Academy of Music & Arts-- Western New York’s largest privately-owned music school. The Academy has partnered with Boulder, who will be hosting the event, featuring a crazy costume contest, piles of candy, creepy games and more. Plus, prizes for everyone who enters the costume contest. It’s a night of fun you won’t dare forget! The Spooktacular will take place at 7:00 pm, and is free and open to the public.
A Frighteningly Good Time
This is the Academy’s third annual Halloween event. According to events coordinator Brigid Harrigan, “last year’s party was named one of the top ten Halloween events in Rochester, and all the families had so much fun. We have a huge responsibility to make this one even bigger and better, and we are going to come through!”
Creepy Creativity
The Academy decided to start a Halloween tradition because of the creativity associated with the holiday. “Halloween has strong ties to music, but the Academy is about celebrating all forms of self-expression,” Harrigan explains. “We will have live performances of classic Halloween songs, but we will also showcase creativity through our costume contest, pumpkin decorating, drawing activities, & more.” It’s a chance for ghouls, goblins, and the entire family to have a great time and show off what makes them unique.
