Heritage Maker Workshop: Soap Making
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/21/2018
Make your own handmade soap with Lisa Fredrickson of Flint Creek Soap! In first half of this class, we will discuss the basic science and history behind soap making. In the second half, we will get busy with our hands and make a batch of cold process soap together.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Note: This event takes place at Cumming Nature Center.
After the soap is made it takes a few days to cure. Individual batches of soap will be cured and cut to dry in Lisa’s shop for participants. When the soaps are ready for use they will be shipped to participants directly. Shipping is included in the price of the class, and all ingredients and equipment will be provided. If you prefer to cut your own loaf, this can be arranged, and at the time of batching it will be shipped as a whole loaf.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
