Improvisation for Kids

This class incorporates acting voice and movement exercises, scene-work and instruction in performance-level short-form games like the ones made popular on TV’s Whose Line Is It Anyway. Exploring the fundamentals of improvisational theatre will give students the opportunity to become more trusting and graceful on stage all the while building personal confidence and self-awareness. Everyday we’ll spontaneously generate scenarios, characters, and settings the creation of which encourage imagination, mindfulness, and creativity. On the final day students will present a performance to show off their skills!
