Adobe Illustrator is a powerful, flexible, vector-based program in the design suite of the Adobe products. This class will help you break ground into the product, get started with the staples of the tool, and give you a chance to have an interactive 1-on-1 with the instructor to ask questions as you go.

 We'll cover:
1. Illustrator - overview of what it is and why it exists in conjunction with the other products in the Adobe suite.
2. Exporting/saving. Discussing legacy versions (old versions) and how to save down to them if need be. For this class, people will be downloading a trial of the latest product version.
3. Tool palette and art boards - your bread and butter of the product.
4. Character, paragraph, and pathfinder tool panels.
5. Pen tool, shortcuts, masking, expanding, and some other elements that are critical but more advanced.
6. Remaining 1hr. of class open for a tutorial walk through of a demo assignment.

Please note: All students will have to download a 30 day trial of adobe illustrator prior to the course. Trial can be downloaded here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/illustrator?promoid=Y69SGWK...

This class will not make you a master designer, a color master or teach you everything you need to know... but you will be able to leave with enough knowledge to practice on your own and get comfortable with the product for future needs.
