Introduction to Tapestry Weaving

Learn the basics of tapestry weaving with a simple lesson on basket or plain weave and an emphasis on texture, fringe, and pattern. Class will begin with a demonstration on how to create different patterns, then students will have the rest of class to work on and finish their unique wall hanging!

About the teacher:
Courtney Craig is a surface designer who enjoys the studio environment and creating custom textiles for interior spaces. Elements of vintage, contemporary, and traditional design are her favorites to explore. Courtney is currently living in Rochester and being inspired every day from the local artisan community.
