This is a rare opportunity to hear the Princeton Katzenjammers a cappella group in Rochester, NY. Following their signature performance on Saturday March 7th at Rochester's Hochstein Performance Hall, they will share their music in a smaller setting to a smaller audience at Writers & Books for this concert on March 8th. This is a fun, family friendly up-close show of broadway, vocal jazz, and classic hits that will be enjoyed by all.
Founded in 1973, in the wake of Princeton’s transition to coeducation, the Princeton Katzenjammers emerged as the nation’s first all-gender, mixed-voice a cappella group. Since their inception, the Katzenjammers have spent decades redefining vocal performance on campus and beyond. Renowned for their exceptional versatility, the group’s repertoire spans sacred, classical, jazz, folk, and pop music—ranging from Duruflé’s luminous motet Ubi Caritas to their award-winning arrangement of Thelonious Monk’s ’Round Midnight. Join the Princeton Katzenjammers for an unforgettable evening of richly diverse music and expressive vocal artistry on Sunday March 8 at Writers & Books (7pm concert).
