Over a career spanning fifty years and more than forty film roles, Jodie Foster has become one of the most respected and well-recognized actors of her generation. She has earned four Academy Award nominations, including wins for her roles in The Accused (1988) and The Silence of the Lambs (1991), as well as honors from around the world, including the Berlin Film Festival, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Cannes Film Festival, the Directors Guild of America, the Golden Globes, the Independent Spirit Awards, and the Emmys.

In recognition of her distinguished contribution to the art of film, the George Eastman Museum will honor Ms. Foster with the George Eastman Award on Thursday, May 25. In May, the Dryden Theatre will run a retrospective of some of her most famous and lauded films.
