These three multi-media art exhibits take a look across the past year at how the COVID-19 Pandemic affected the fabric of our lives by addressing topics like the pandemic, racial injustice, national and local politics, climate crisis; AND responses of healing, activism, empathy, innovation, community building, and hopefulness for the future.

Last Year On Earth

Last Year on Earth explores, documents, reflects, and celebrates (yes, there are things to celebrate) our individual and collective experience of the last twelve months. We’ve all experienced a year like no other and Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) has organized this exhibition to show what our community has made in response to 2020.

Through The Cracks

Through the Cracks presents some of the stories and personal transformations of community members that may have slipped by unnoticed amidst the many crises of 2020.This exhibition of video responses to the year 2020 is curated by Darien Lamen, organized in partnership with Rochester Community Television, and exhibited at RoCo.

Unjustness

UnJustness' by Talent Babii and Cerious is the winner of the The 2020 Experience music video competition presented at RoCo. Shanique Byrd, editor of Tocsin magazine and Craig Carson, of The Deadline selected 'UnJustness' as the most impactful song of the year.
