Make Your Own Custom Soap

Learn a bit about the history of soap and how it changed over the centuries, along with modern soap making methods. Then, learn to make your own. Begin with a plain soap base and add luscious ingredients such as herbs, scent and color to make your own batch of custom crafted soap!

About the teacher:
Beth Byrne is an experienced, certified soapmaker and teacher who enjoys sharing what she knows. She began as a gardener, then herbalist and finally, an avid bath and body maker. Currently, Beth serves as the Managing Editor of Making Soap, Cosmetics & Candles Magazine and is the past secretary of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild’s Board of Directors. She resides in the Rochester area with her husband and two dogs.
