The New York Museum of Transportation invites all active-duty military and veterans to enjoy half-price admission on July 5, 2026, as we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday. Admission includes full access to the museum's collection of vintage trolley cars, highway and horse drawn vehicles, model railroads and the Midtown Plaza Monorail. Also included is a 20-minute trolley ride on a 100-year-old trolley that recreates the interurban era of transportation.
This special offer to the country's service men and women is our way of thanking them for their service. No reservations required, but please show a military ID or driver's license indicating Veteran status at the ticket desk.
The museum is open Sundays only from 11 am to 4 pm, and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester at 6393 East River Road, in Rush.
