The Servant of Two Masters is a zany Romantic Italian inspired by Commedia dell’Arte - Set in Venice, 1700s with historical costumes - The story unfolds as Beatrice arrives in Venice disguised as her brother Federigo - looking for her True Love Florindo -- the same day - Florindo arrives in Venice looking for his True Love Beatrice -- unbeknownst to them both - they hire the same servant: Truffaldino -- there are many comic near misses coupled with the high comic drama of the other 2 romantic leads: Silvio and Clarice’s ‘Love for each other’ as they deal with their own helicopter parents Old-Fashioned demands: Pantalone, Dr Lombardi, Signora Lombardi – along with: Smeraldina (Clarice’s outspoken Maid) who is mutually smitten with Truffaldino – the charismatic Innkeeper: Brighella who knows more than he is revealing – and Renaldo (Truffaldino’s nemesis).
